FAQ

What Open Access licence do you use?

We use the following license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5/. This is the industry standard and it is used by all the established open access journals.

Will my articles be indexed and where?

We will seek to ensure that all articles are indexed. We expect to be fully indexed in PubMedCentral, PubMed, Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic Search, the Web of Science, MedLine and others.

What is your impact factor?

To receive an Impact Factor, a journal has to be indexed by the Web of Science (and typically, the Web of Science only indexes journals after they are three years old). We have already applied to Web of Science and hope to get an impact factor at the appropriate time.

What happens to my papers if you go out of business

There are several industry standard solutions that can ensure that your papers remain accessible in the small chance that BioDiscovery goes out of business. In real-time, we will be archiving our content at PubMedCentral. Short of the implosion of the entire Internet, your research will be archived for future generations no matter what happens.
